CONTEXT
In today's fast-paced world, individuals grapple with wardrobe overwhelm despite owning many clothes. Decision fatigue from daily outfit choices and fashion boredom are common, as is stress when planning event attire. Outfit uncertainty and neglected clothing care further complicate personal style management. These challenges underscore the need for a smart solution to streamline wardrobe organization and enhance style efficiency.
APPROACH
I designed an intuitive experience for a digital wardrobe with AI-powered outfit suggestions. My UX strategy incorporated AR-based virtual try-ons and a smart calendar for event planning, addressing daily styling challenges. I created user flows for wear-tracking analytics, maintenance reminders, and a style-learning system, ensuring the design promoted sustainable fashion choices while adapting to user preferences.

04.
[design]
The design process for this project was pretty swift - time constraints didn't allow for a prolonged ideation phase, so I opted to skip low-fidelity wireframes. Leveraging established design patterns allowed me to streamline the process while ensuring consistency across the app. For each new addition or feature, I created a few design explorations, conducting quick usability tests with users through small prototypes and click-through sessions to assess their effectiveness.

[user testing] [iteration and improvements]
Through user testing, I gathered key insights on app interaction, identified improvement areas, and refined features. This feedback helped me determine features users prefer in certain platforms they use. These insights were instrumental in refining features and ensuring that the app meets the needs of diverse users.

“Navigating to the calendar took too many steps. I'd love to access it directly from the main screen, with an option to collapse the view for a quick weekly glance. Also, being able to schedule or snooze clothing care tasks would provide more flexibility, making it easier to manage both upcoming and ongoing tasks without disrupting daily wardrobe use”

Final Thoughts & Reflections
[impact]
The app has been released to beta users through email-only invites and is set to expand soon. Early feedback indicates high user satisfaction, with key features like outfit recommendations and wardrobe management receiving positive reviews. The feedback from beta users is guiding final adjustments, allowing us to fine-tune the app for a wider audience while staying aligned with user preferences and demands.
[key takeways]
Working on this project was a journey full of surprises and learning experiences. I never realized how many different types of clothing materials existed, let alone that each came with its own set of care instructions—who knew laundry could be so complicated? On a more serious note, I learned a lot about blending fashion with technology, particularly in designing the virtual try-on feature to mimic real-life experiences. Tackling wardrobe maintenance reminders also highlighted how small details can make a big difference in user convenience. Overall, this project expanded my understanding of both fashion and tech, pushing me to create solutions that truly enhance everyday life.
